Plasmet vertical and horizontal shingle façade systems offer specifiers an economic advantage in façade design. Available in a wide variety of materials, finishes and shapes including rectangular, rhomboid and diamond, shingles are fixed directly and interlocked with each other.
All shingles are designed with a series of return folds on all 4 sides, with reverse folds along two edges which allow them to overlap and grip the flanges of adjacent shingles. Available as either left or right hand the position of the return flanges means the shingles do not require installing in a certain order. Transitional strips provide the facility to change direction of lay and provide a natural 'break point'.
All folds and notches are processed at the factory which ensure corner overlaps are correct. Thicknesses vary between 0.5mm to 1.2mm available from the following materials:
- Aluminium (mill finish, pre-coat, embossed)
- Zinc
- Copper
- Stainless steel
